What Does a Chiropractor Do?
Chiropractic treatment entails the noninvasive evaluation and alleviation of spinal compression and misalignment. Before making any chiropractic adjustments, a chiropractor first examines the spinal column from the lumbar area up to the cervical region. During this examination, he may look for signs such as heat, physical deformation, and unhealthy skin. These symptoms often point to an underlying misalignment of the vertebrae, connective tissues, or nerves. Once a chiropractor finds the compression, he can make a chiropractic adjustment to correct it. In many cases, these adjustments cause no discomfort and bring immediate back pain relief.
